Covid-19 Protocols 

  • Please be so kind and take a moment to read this message in full as it outlines important changes we have made to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We would like to make you aware of the following changes:

  • We have opened our office and are taking many precautions to ensure the health and safety of our staff and patients.  We are following CDC guidelines and are properly disinfecting between patients.  We are following all social distancing guidelines.  

  • You must confirm your appointment by replying to your automated text or by calling us. We will cancel your appointment if we do not hear from you or cannot get a hold of you to confirm your appointment.

  • Anyone with severe illness, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and/or abdominal pain will not be permitted to enter the building and must reschedule their appointment. It is also recommended they follow up with their primary care provider. 

  • If you have been in close physical contact with a person who is known to have laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 or with anyone who has any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.

  • If you are isolating or quarantining because you may have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 or are worried that you may be sick with COVID-19 you will also be asked to reschedule.

  • If you are waiting on the results of a COVID-19 test you will also need to reschedule.

  • If you have traveled in the past 14 days, you will also need to reschedule 10 days from your last date of travel. 

  • Our staff’s temperatures will be checked on a daily basis. The staff will also be screened for COVID-19 symptoms on a daily basis. All staff will be wearing face masks as well. These measures are all being taken to ensure the health and safety of our patients.

  • We are allowing only the patient to come in for his or her scheduled appointment. If the patient is a minor, one parent may attend the appointment with the minor. If the patient requires a caregiver, the caregiver may accompany the patient during his or her appointment.

  • When arriving for your appointment, please call the front desk so we can check you in. Please wait in your car until we call you in for your appointment. This will limit your exposure to others.

  • If you are wearing gloves, you will be required to remove them and leave them in your car. You must also wear a mask prior to entering the building. If you do not have a mask we will provide you with one.

  • Upon entering the building the patient (as well as parent of a child or caregiver of an adult) will have his/her temperature checked using a contactless thermometer and will also be asked a series of COVID-19 screening questions.

  • Please disinfect your hands upon entering the building. Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk and optician stations. We will be disinfecting all door handles and surfaces between every patient to ensure the health and safety of patients and staff.

  • Plexiglass barriers and shields have been placed at the front desk, every optician station, and in every exam room to further protect patients and staff.

  • When trying on glasses the patient will be given a tray. Any frame that the patient has touched or tried on will be placed onto this tray. These frames will then be properly disinfected prior to being placed back onto the optical floor. All glasses will be properly cleaned and disinfected between every patient

  • If a patient needs to pick up his/her glasses or need his/her glasses repaired, this will be done by appointment only. We will do our best to do these repairs and adjustment via curbside so that the patient does not have to enter the building.

  • If you would like to order glasses, this is also by appointment only

  • If you have already had an exam and would like to pick out frames and discuss lens options, please call to schedule an appointment.
